Announcements

We at  Hyland will continue to pray for you, your family, our nation and the world in the days and weeks ahead. Please take care of yourself and demonstrate the love of Christ to others when you have an opportunity to do so. God bless you.

WHAT WE’RE DOING

Providing hand sanitizer. We have placed hand sanitizer stations at all building entrances. We also have wall-mounted stations throughout our buildings’ common areas as well as our classrooms and meeting spaces. Please use them when you are unable to wash your hands.

  • Disinfecting our buildings. The surfaces within Hyland including our meeting rooms and classrooms, are cleaned and disinfected daily.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

There are simple measures you can take to protect yourself and help us reduce the spread of Coronavirus in our community.

If you feel sick or are caring for someone who is sick:

  • Stay home unless you are seeking medical treatment.
  • Limit your participation in community activities. Many of our services, fellowships and events have streaming options on our website and on Facebook Live.
  • Dispose of used tissues right away.

In general:

  • Wear a mask in public and socially distance yourself at least 6ft apart when near others.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth and others with unwashed hands.
  • Thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water as often as you can. Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds.
  • If you are not near a sink, use hand sanitizer. Sanitize all of the skin on your hands and rub them together until they feel dry. Refrain from shaking your hands to dry them.
  • Engage in respiratory etiquette by coughing and sneezing into the bend of your elbow.
  • Sanitize freshly touched surfaces in your home, school or office daily.
  • Avoid coming in close contact with those who appear unwell.

Jesus is described as the "Prince of Peace" for those who choose to let him reign over their lives. He offers peace for our troubled minds and freedom from fear. Here are just a few of the great verses in the Bible about God's power to deliver us from fear – we begin with the words of Jesus from the Gospel of John:

    John 14:27
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

    Isaiah 41:10
"Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

    Philippians 4:6-7
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

    Deuteronomy 31:8
"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."

    Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation - so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?

    Exodus 14:13
"And Moses said to the people, 'Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today'."

    Joshua 1:9
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

    Isaiah 41:13
"For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you."

    Psalm 23:4
"Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

    1 Peter 5:7
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
